Cohen was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up in the Boston area, where he graduated from Harvard University in 1982. After spending two years in Madison Wisconsin, he returned to Boston where he attended the Boston University School of Law, passed the Massachusetts Bar, and began to practice law on the “front lines” as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston. After several years of conducting trials, Robert A. Cohen expressed an interest in Environmental and Land Use law. He was named General Counsel to the City of Boston Zoning Board of Appeals in 1994 and formed and acted as lead litigator for the Boston Environmental Strike team in 1996. In 1999 Robert A. Cohen was appointed Director of Plans and Zoning for the City of Boston and Assistant Commissioner of the Inspectional Department where he remained for three years until moving to Arizona. In Arizona Rob passed the Bar in the summer of 2002 doing municipal contract work in the Phoenix area. In 2003 Robert A. Cohen received his Arizona Real Estate License and has worked with Keller Williams Southwest Realty since that time.

 Valerie Falkner Valerie was born and raised in the Valley, and knows intimately many of the neighborhoods that she has explored during her childhood and adult years. She attended Arizona State University, where she graduated concurrently from the W.P Carey School of Business and the Barrett Honors College. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate. After working with a commercial property financing firm for several years after graduation, Valerie joined Pulte Homes and became one of the company's top sales consultants. She then moved to a small luxury developer in North Scottsdale and sold homes between $1.5 - $2 million. After the community closed sales, Valerie decided that she would love to work with all clients, being able to accommodate any of their needs. She moved to Keller Williams Southwest Realty, where she felt she had the tools to provide her clients extraordinary service. Valerie recruited her sister Janet Falkner Reiman to Keller Williams once Janet moved from California, and the two have been working with the Valley of the Sun Team since January of 2007. With her commercial financing background, Valerie has experience in evaluating investment properties. She owns several rental properties across the Valley, and knows personally the ins and outs of this type of investment.  Janet Falkner-Reiman Janet Falkner-Reiman was born and raised in the Valley of the Sun, which has given her vast knowledge of the neighborhoods in Maricopa County. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Tourism and Special Events. She took her degree and went into sales and marketing, where she has been for the past five years. She has worked for Arizona Foothills Magazine, the U.S. Navy as a civilian, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Toronto Blue Jays baseball organizations, all in various marketing and event planning positions. Her hobbies include playing sports, public speaking and enjoying Arizona's beautiful weather. Janet, now in her second year at Keller Williams Southwest Realty, is determined to make your real estate purchase or sale and enjoyable one. She is detailed oriented, thorough and fun to work with. Although your real estate agent is responsible for marketing your property, it requires a joint effort to get your home sold.
How can you empower your agent? It is very important that you feel absolutely confident in your agent's ability to produce results--no matter what the market is like in your area! This may sound like stating the obvious, but it is important to let your real estate agent know you trust them to get the job done. Support that trust by putting a realistic price tag on the property and keeping it in prime showing condition. Work out showing agreements that will make it easy for agents to preview or show your home. Meet periodically to discuss any feedback from buyers who have seen your home to determine how you can improve its appeal.
Don't hesitate to share any ideas you may have about marketing your home. I will try anything that works, and have received some very good suggestions from clients.
